As part of her internationalisation drive, the leadership of DePECOS Institutions and Development Research Centre (DIaDeRC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre (C-SET) of the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada that will foster a shared cooperation and relationship between both institutions, researchers and members of both communities.

The MoU seeks to promote mutually acceptable cooperation between the two institutions within the fields. These areas of collaboration include cultural, education, and research initiatives, exchange programs, internships, information exchange, and joint collaborative grant proposals.

Other aspects of this cooperation are collaboration on continuing education programs and certificates, capacity building and collaboration on graduate programs, and any other activities that are relevant to both parties’ institutional development.

The MoU is expected to run for the next five (5) years with specific details for the implementation of the terms to be developed mutually for specific projects, faculty or administrative personnel appointed by the parties to follow up on each project.

It would be recalled that a faculty from University of Regina, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, was one of the facilitators of the recently concluded African Scholarship Mentorship Network (ASMN 3.0) organised by DIaDeRC.
