Prof. Aderemi Aaron-Anthony Atayero is a distinguished Nigerian engineer and academic leader best known for his tenure as the 4th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Covenant University, where he served from 2016 to 2020. A graduate of Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation, Prof. Atayero holds a PhD in Satellite Communication Systems and is a senior research fellow of the International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators. He is also a fellow of the Science Association of Nigeria (FSAN). Prof. Atayero has made significant contributions to research on smart cities and IoT-enabled communities, positioning him as a leader in advancing Nigeria’s global academic relevance. He also served as the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of British Canadian University (BCU), Obudu, Cross Rivers State, Nigeria.
