DIaDeRC Chair to Address 2024 Aspiring Economists Forum

The Chair, DePECOS Institutions and Development Research Centre (DIaDeRC), Professor Evans Osabuohien, will herald a speaking event at the Mid-Year Summit of the Aspiring Economists Forum, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

The forum, which is a hub for nurturing talents and fostering the development of emerging economists, will avail young and upcoming professionals the opportunity to glean from the wealth of expertise of the former Head, Department of Economics and Development Studies, Covenant University, as he speaks to the theme “Navigating Economic Challenges in a Changing World.”

Professor Osabuohien, who is an Associate Editor, Nigerian Economics Society, will use the occasion to help budding economists and young professionals understand and explore the multifaceted issues and opportunities facing economists in today’s dynamic global landscape.

The virtual event will see thematic issues covering a wide range of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as Goals 1, 2, 8, 12, 13and 15, form the building blocks of diverse presentations by participants.

Founder and Convener of The Aspiring Economists Forum, Mr Ediomi Udoh, said organisers and participants are enthused about the prospect that a consummate professional of Professor Osabuohien’s calibre will be bringing on board the conversation.

“Your unique perspective and experiences will undoubtedly inspire and empower our members as they navigate the complexities of the economic landscape,” he added.
