Focus: Experiential Tips on Networking in Building a Successful Career
Host: Prof. Evans Osabuohien ; Co-host: Dr. Taiwo Afolabi
Facilitator: Dr. Uche Ekhator-Mobayode
In a world where everyone seems to be networking louder, faster, and harder, many professionals are quietly wondering: Is anyone truly connecting anymore? In this honest and empowering session, Dr. Uche Ekhator Mobayode will introduce the G.R.O.W. U.P. Framework—a refreshing, values-driven approach to building meaningful relationships through real work, not performance.
Rather than chasing visibility or trying to impress, attendees will explore how to become the kind of person others are naturally drawn to—through how they show up, what they create, and how they contribute. Grounded in generosity, consistency, and aligned action, this session invites participants to rethink influence and remember that real connection doesn’t require a spotlight—it requires substance. Ideal for rising professionals, emerging leaders, and anyone ready to move beyond surface-level networking and build something real—and lasting.
In this final episode of ASMN 5.0, we will bring together all the insights gained throughout the series and focus on how networking plays a crucial role in career success. You’ll discover actionable steps to build and maintain meaningful professional relationships, whether in-person or online.
We’ll explore practical techniques, real-world experiences, and expert advice on how to navigate networking opportunities, establish credibility, and leverage connections for career growth.
