Dr. Solomon Oluwaseun Okunade

Dr Solomon Oluwaseun Okunade is a development and financial Economist, a certified project manager and a life member of International Project Management Professionals (IPMP) since 2013.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education with Economics Option (B.Sc. Ed. Economics) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State in January 2012.
After the mandatory National Youth Service Corps, he proceeded to the same Institution where he obtained a Master of Science in Economics in 2016; and also bagged his PhD in Economics in 2021 at the Department of Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Currently, he is the Acting Director, Chrisland Centre for Research and Statistics (CREST), Abeokuta, Nigeria; a Lecturer in the Department of Economics; and a member of the Senate at Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Nigeria.
He works on poverty/inequality reduction, productivity growth, financial development and inclusion as well as the institutional roles in growth and development of different sectors of the economy. Recently, his research focuses on climate change impacts on sustainable growth and development.
He has many publications to his credit, and has supervised several research works of students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a consultant to many organisations, and a reviewer to several reputable Journal outlets. He is a resourceful member of the African Scholars Mentorship Network (ASMN) hosted by DIaDeRC.
