Exciting news for researchers passionate about tackling global challenges! The ODA Challenge-Oriented Research Grants 2024 program is now open for applications, offering support to researchers aiming to address specific global issues in collaboration with international partners.

Who Can Apply? Researchers based in the UK, Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, and/or Least Developed Countries are invited to submit proposals focusing on key global challenges.
Aims of the Program: This initiative aims to foster international research collaborations on policy-relevant projects addressing various global challenges. The British Academy encourages diverse thinking and welcomes proposals related to themes such as antimicrobial resistance, pandemic preparedness, social determinants of health, and more.
Funding Details:
- Awards of up to £200,000 are available for projects lasting 18 months.
- Funding can cover a range of expenses, including research assistance, travel, fieldwork, and training.
- Projects must commence by the end of June 2024.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Projects must be led by a Principal Investigator (PI) with postdoctoral or equivalent research experience.
- Co-applicants from eligible institutions in partner countries are encouraged.
- Proposals must demonstrate direct relevance to the problems of developing countries to qualify for ODA funding.
Application Process: Submit your proposals online through the British Academy’s Grant Management System (GMS), Flexi-Grant®, by April 10, 2024 (17.00 UK time).

I received information about British Academy has a program named The Program Provides for Research Working with International Partner Wishing to Develop ODA Eligible Policy Relevan Research on Specific Global Challenges and wanted to apply a proposal with title Participatory Action Research On Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in Rinjani Area, Lombok, Indonesia.
